BCBA welcomes both individuals and spiritual groups wishing to integrate contemplative practice with service to the community. Since its inception, [BCBA] has collaboraed with over a dozen local human service agencies by providing volunteers."*
Mission"BCBA's mision is to partner with local human service agencies in Boulder County to engage in the bodhisattva activity of helping people in need. "The Buddhist Coalition Offers
BCBA offers two specific services: volunteer placement and volunteer support.
Volunteer Placement
[BCBA] matches each volunteer's specific interests with appropriate service projects. We partner with a wide range of human service projects. We partner with a wide range of human service agencies on a variety of issues, including: at-risk youth,single mothers, isolated elderly, transitioning inmates and animal rescue.
Volunteer Support
The specialty of [BCBA] is to provide a discussion forum in which volunteers can examine their experiences in light of spiritual teachings. Thoughtful monthly group discussions help practitioners integrate practice and service." *
