The Life of the Buddha and the Spiritual Journey
Mondays, 7 PM, starting July 14th, class runs for 4 weeks

This is a new introduction to Buddhism class that Nalandabodhi National is offering in the wake of His Holiness the Karmapa's visit. It is a very rich overview and should appeal to those members of the public who want to know more about Buddhism and also about Ponlop Rinpoche and his style of teaching. The text discusses the life of the Buddha and important Buddhist themes in an earthy and direct way. This class will also offer new students on the Hinayana track a way of connecting with the central themes of View, Meditation and Conduct.

The format will be a short lecture and a discussion following. Questions are encouraged!

Meditation Practicum
Mondays, 7 PM, starting August 11th, class runs for 5 weeks

This Class will cover meditation technique and will a great intro for new people and also a nice "tune up" for experienced students. The class is open to the public as well as NB members. Come join us for some powerful group practice!

Konchok Chidu Feasts

Ponlop Rinpoche expressed his wish that Vajrayana students should partake in feast practice at least once a month; either Konchok Chidu or Vajrasattva. Feast practice is vital for us as a Vajrayana community and is the only way that we can truly repair any transgressions of our samaya.

Please note that feasts are restricted to people who have received a reading transmission (lung). If you are interested in receiving a reading transmission for Konchok Chidu, please contact Alex.
